Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy informs you pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR about the processing of

personal data in connection with the website https://ringprotokoll.app and

the mobile application Ring-Protokoll (iOS and Android).

§ 1 Controller

The controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Carbacan GmbH

Reuterweg 14

61267 Neu-Anspach

Germany

Phone: +49 (60 81) 96 54 38 - 0

Email: support@ringprotokoll.app

Managing Director: Björn Bock

Commercial Register: Amtsgericht Bad Homburg, HRB 12933

We have not appointed a dedicated data protection officer because the statutory

thresholds under Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG are not met.

§ 2 Collection and Processing of Personal Data

2.1 Website ringprotokoll.app

The website serves solely to present the product and to host this privacy

policy, the legal notice, and support information.

  • No cookies.
  • No trackers.
  • No analytics (no Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or similar).
  • No advertising, no third-party embeds (no external fonts, maps, or CDNs

that receive personal data).

  • No consent banner required, as we do not deploy technologies that require

consent under § 25 TTDSG.

2.2 Ring-Protokoll App

The app is 100% offline. There is no server communication with the

provider. All data (clubs, shooters including license number, disciplines,

matches, results, optional handwritten signature) is stored **locally on the

device only** in a SQLite database.

Consequences:

  • Carbacan has no access to any data entered into the app.
  • On uninstall, device change, or device failure the data is lost

unless you have previously created a local backup export. A cloud backup is

scheduled for release 1.1.

  • Data transmission only takes place when you actively share a PDF report

by email, messenger, cloud service, or another application. In that case you

are responsible for the transmission.

2.3 License numbers as personal data

DSB license numbers of shooters are personal data within the meaning of

Art. 4(1) GDPR. Because the user (match director, scorekeeper, sports director)

enters and manages these data in their local app instance, **the user is the

controller** within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR. The user must ensure a valid

legal basis (consent, statutory club purpose, federation rules) and fulfil the

data subject rights of their shooters on their own responsibility. Carbacan

does not participate in this processing and is neither a joint controller nor a

processor.

§ 3 Data Subject Rights

To the extent Carbacan processes personal data (see § 4 on website server

logs), you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Art. 15 – Right of access
  • Art. 16 – Right to rectification
  • Art. 17 – Right to erasure
  • Art. 18 – Right to restriction of processing
  • Art. 20 – Right to data portability
  • Art. 21 – Right to object
  • Art. 77 – Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise these rights a simple email to support@ringprotokoll.app is

sufficient.

The competent supervisory authority at the controller's seat is:

Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Wiesbaden

§ 4 Server Logs (Website)

When you access the website, our hosting provider Strato AG, Pascalstraße

10, 10587 Berlin, Germany, collects the following technically necessary data in

server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of the request
  • HTTP method, requested URL, status code, volume of data transferred
  • Referrer (if transmitted by the browser)
  • User agent (browser and operating system identifier)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure and

stable operation of the website, in particular attack defence.

Retention: 7 days by default, at most 30 days. Logs are deleted

automatically thereafter. Logs are not combined with other data.

A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Strato.

§ 5 App-Store Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play)

The app is distributed exclusively via the Apple App Store (Apple

Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Cork, Ireland)

and Google Play (Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin

4, Ireland). Payment processing, invoicing, and purchase-related communication

are handled by Apple and Google as independent controllers. We only receive

aggregated sales reports that do not allow identification of individual buyers.

The stores' privacy policies apply:

  • Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
  • Google Play: https://policies.google.com/privacy

§ 6 No Sharing, No Third-Country Transfers

Carbacan does not share your personal data with third parties. We do not

transfer data to countries outside the EEA. Transfers by the stores (Apple,

Google) are governed by the contracts and safeguards of those providers.

§ 7 Changes to This Policy

We update this policy whenever the legal situation or our processing changes.

The current version is always available at

https://ringprotokoll.app/datenschutz.
